Love at 1st sight - intro

As i was playing and playing,
absolutely engrossed in the game,
out of nowhere,
a sudden flashback occured in my cranium,
a splendid one.
It was the 1st time my father ever brought me here,
to the stadium,
everything seemed so strange,
what are those long sticks in their hands?
what is that bird like thing flying about?
WHAT IS THIS?
The next thing is know,
my father had place a similar stick in my 'hand',
he handed me a 'bird',
and challenged me to see how many times i could hit the 'bird with the 'stick'
without the bird touching the ground.
I tried and tried,
somehow i couldnt stop.
1st time i hit it once
2nd time once
until i kept it in the air for about 5 times
i realised i couldnt stop,
my father came up to me and told me what exactly was happening,
the 'stick' is a racket
the 'bird' is a shuttlecock,
the game that facisnated me so was BADMINTON.
It was love at first sight.
